Ross Park
Ok Tami, I couldn't figure out how to move the text in the box so it wasn't over our faces, So I just decided to post it. We went to Ross Park on Monday, it's pretty cool. Mark and Keith took the metal detector and were having fun with it. And Lydia munched on all the rocks they had on the trails. Then we went up to Red Hill, on ISU, if you don't know what that is, it's a big Hill with an "I" on the side and 4 columns on the top. They are very tall. And it was VERY windy. Then we got ice cream. It was a fun after noon.

ring ring WAKE UP!!!
So this morning I wake up to the phone ringing at 6 in the morning. So I jumped out of bed so I didnt miss it cause I assumed that if seomeone was calling us at 6 in the morning they really needed to get a hold of us. I answered the phone and guess who was on the line...NO ONE! Well I thought maybe they will call right back. That often happens. So I waited for a few sec, and no call, so I went back to bed, in a not so happy mood.
I am happy to wake up and answer my phone any time of the day for anyone. If you need something (with in reason of course), if it can't wait till morning, by all means give me a call, I can always sleep later. If you are calling just to chat or ask me a question, as long as it's after 7, I dont care if you wake me up. Really I dont. As long as you give me a sec to wake up.
But wakeing up at 6 am for NOTHING does not make me a happy person.

Tap Class
I must say that I LOVE to tap dance. Growing up I remember watching musical, particuarly Gene Kelly musicals and watching him tap dance. there was somethign captivating about that to me. Then in High School for the first time in my life I say live tap dancing. We had some collage students preform for us and they ALL were tapping. I was sitting next to best friend (one of many) Jessica, and she loved it as much as I did, and I think both of our jaws just droped to teh floor while we watched. Envious of everyone in tap shoes.
My first expirence with tap dancing I didn thave my shoes yet and I came to class in my converse and tapped in thoes. I have had about a year and a half of formal tap class total and being in class today it was fun to look back adn realize how much I really know. A friend of mine brought her video camera to class to tape our routienes, we have 2 that we are working on. I know them both but neither are perfected. So this way I can work on them after I move back home.
I also hope to start teaching. I had a freind from church over every week for several months teaching her how to tap. It was so fun, and it was goo practice for me.
Now when I look back to High School whishing so much that I coudl learn, sometimes I can't believe that I am actually taking dance classes. And I can see self improvement almost every week.
It also makes me a proud momma to watch Lydia dance to music, she likes to tap dance. Oh also a new discovery, cartoons to not impress Lydia. She is a tv bug for sure, but more cartoons only hold her attention for at the very longest 10 mins. But if I put a musical on, any musical, she is COMPLETLY capitvated. She will sit with out blinking for nearly 45 mins. Then decide she wants to get up but then the music catches her attention again and never gets more than 8 feet away from the tv. She LOVES music.
That's my girl!

Bump me.
So we taught Lydia High 5 a few months ago, and she does it good. So I thought it would be fun to teacher her to do bump me, or nuckles, or what ever any body else calls it. Where you bump your fists together.
So I made my fist and said Lydia, bump me, like this and I made a fist with her hand and showed her how to do it. I did it again, and again, and again. So I thought, ok, maybe she has the hang of it. so I say Lydia, bump me. Then instead of making a fist adn hitting my hand, she bends her head down and touches her fore head to my fist. It was so funny. I wasnt sure what she was doing at first, then I said it again
Lydia, bump me. And again with the fore head. So I tried it a third time and got the same result. It so so funny. I showed her Daddy when he got home, and he got a big kick out if it, so we showed some friends at church. What a funny girl.

Prepared? Think again...
Since we are moving in 2 1/2 weeks I though it would be a good Idea to get as much packing done as we could now instead of waiting till the last day or two to do everything. I have gone through our things trying to figure out what we wont need for the next few weeks. I'm done with City of Joseph so I wont need to sew anything else, so I packed my sewing stuff, and I packed my hymnal and primary song book, and it's the end of April it has been warming up, the car has gotten hot a couple times, so we wont need our coats till next winter, packed thoes up. Along with a few other things. Well last sunday I was asked to sing in church for today, and I dont do solo's for the sake of everyones ears, but my voice does blend very well so I said if I could find someone to sing with me I would be happy to sing.I have found the secrete to singing a beatiful song in sacrament. Find someone who sings better than you to sing with. :) And I did. I called Another Sarah in the ward and asked my cousin Heather to play for us. Well Sarah has a beatiful voice. We went to her mother in laws to practice to see if we sounded good together and we decided on a 3 part harmony song, her mother in law being the third part. Well then we got Heather to come practice with us and some how the rolls got switched, Heather was now singing. (she has a beatiful voice) We sang Abide with me in 3 part harmony and it was awesome. But then we decided to sing the 3rd verse in spanish, well I dont know spanish, I kind of know how to pronounce it. So Sarah taught us how to pronounce it, but I needed to have it writen in with the music, so I went home and had to un pack the box with my hymnal in it so I could write in it. But it sounded great. Infact I had people asking me if I spoke spanish or if I served a mission speaking spanish. That's a good sign right?
Lydia's favorite monkey has poped a few seems, he is very loved, but he needed stiches, so I had hid him in my room till I fixed him. When I went to get my needles I realized I had already packed them, so I had to unpack another box to fix Lydia's bu-key (monkey).
Then we woke up this morning to go to church and guess what happened...snow. Snow on April 20. I know I'm in Idaho and I should expect it, it was too cold and too windy to get by with just a jacket, we had to unpack ANOTHER box to get our coats out. So much for being prepared. :)

Snoring
Lydia has learned how to snor, well kinda. She makes a sound that sounds like snoring. This morning while she was playing and walkign around the room she was constantly snoring, and then exhailing. IT was so funny.
WE had a friedn over to play today. I watch him while his Mommy goes to Institute, and she watches Lydia while I go to tap. I was noticing how much energy Lydia really has. Joseph was wondering around, playing with a few toys, and sitting in the chair. Lydia was running like a crazy Lady, nothing out of the usual, I just noticed the energy difference. She was constantly runnng or screaming (for joy) or climbing on something, she never stops. IT's just funny to watch her next to a relitively calm child and see the difference.

New Project
So this is my latest finished project. I made it for my friend Manami who got married in Feb. And it's taken me a LOT longer than I expected to finish it. I spend about 10 to 12 hours total on that mirror. 6 of thoes were actual etching, the rest was drawing and tracing and re drawing and centering. But as anything you can't see the detail very well in the picture. I wanted to make it a little more personal for her and so since Manami is Japanese, I put the Japanese Charecters for Eternity (on the left) and Love (on the right). I worked really hard on it to get everything centered and symetrical and unless I point out to you it's flaws you most likely wont even notice them. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. And I wont do another one unless a very close friend is getting married, or if I get paid. :) It was fun though, just takes a while.

Uhaul
So a few months ago when we decided to move back I started looking up quotes from different moving companies, and Uhaul was the cheapest, by far. So I went back on the site today to look at the dementions on the truck and guess what, the price jumped almost $400 for the truck we were getting, it almost doubled! So I called to see why, and they said it's casue of supply and demand. They have less trucks then they did 2 months ago so it's more expensive. BUT, (this is a good but) he asked me if I printed up the quote, nope I said we dont have a printer, well actually we do but it's out of ink adn not set up to work on our lap top. Anyway he said if I came in they would still honor the quoted price. Wahoo! So I went in today to reserve teh truck and vehicle transport trailor. Then he told me the transport was going to be $500! almost twice as much too and I was like, um, no I can't pay that much. (again another but) But then he looked at it again adn that is the price of the trailor WITH OUT the truck, but since we were gettign the truck is was considerably less. whew! The trailor was $20 more than teh quoted price a few months ago, but I can handle a jump of $20, just not $400.So to sum up, we reserved our Uhaul today.

From Hardly sleeping, to sleeping hard
so about 2 weeks ago Mark came home and was telling me that he found out that if you turn your clock around when you sleep so you can't see it, you sleep better. WHAT? how? He said that you subconsiously wake up and look at the clock and if you turn it around you wont do that any more. well I didnt think it woudl work, but I said I've give it a try. And about 2 weeks later I can definately say it has worked for us. Weird, I know. Try it.

Almost an Awesome Day
So today was a pretty good day, but it wasnt awesome, though it certinly had the potential to be. So I get up and I start getting my "scheduled packing" done, which feels pretty good. Then the doorbell rings at 11, who the heck is that?! I think to my self still in my PJs. Oh it's Joseph, Lydias friend. I watch him EVERY thursday at 11. Duh. So then we play with joseph and it was fun. Then his mom came and got him, and Daddy came home from work. Horay Daddy! that was good. Yesterday I had my tap class and we have learned new hard things that we need to work on, so a friend of mine came with me and we brought our kids and went to the studio to practice. That was fun. We were there for an hour and practiced for about 30 mins, abotu what I expected.
When we were done I had a wonderful suprise. It was a BEATIFUL day. I didnt need nor did I want a jacket. AWESOME! So we came home, gave Lydia a nap and started getting ready for teh show tonight. I had to leave eariler because we had a ward party before. We were meeting at the church for dinner then heading over to the institute for the play. I went early to help set up.
So I walk in the door from practicing tap and started getting ready. I had set the brand new office dedicated VHS tape on teh tv to remind me to recored it. Then as another reminder Mark put a sign on the tv. ...We have really missed the Office. I put Lydia in bed and thought "oh the office, I should set that up to recored now, so I don't forget"
Off to the ward party. set up eat really quick (very good, I got a full meal before the show, it tasted awesome and I didnt have to cook) then off to the show at 6.
The play went AWESOME tonight. We were almost completly filled up. I got all my cues, Lydia did good, and I did our costume change in record time. So the show is over and I go down stairs adn get us changed and come back up.
While I was changing I looked at the clock and realized like a bolt of lightening striking 3 inches away from me "I forgot to recored The Office! Oh no! How could I?!?! I have wanted to see that for MONTHS, so has Mark! OH you FOOL. I looked on line and it's not up yet. ...now I need to find out who do I know that might have recorded it? who who who. Or when will it bev on line, anybody know? *sigh*
I went into the gym to see if there were still people there I knew. Oh Our area Authority Elder Hammond and his wife came tonight as well. he talked to us before we went on stage, it was awesome. So I see a fimiliar face, and she comes adn gives me a hug, and remembers my name...I'm not sure where I know her from. (talk talk pretend I remember you) WE were almost done talking and I remember "oh yes, she was in the music man with me" but still no name came to mind.
SO then I head out to the car. Since it was such a beatiful day I didnt even wear a jacket, and I walk out side and guess what... it's SNOWING. and not a little snow, a lota snow. the kind where it's hard to see when yoru driving cause there is so much snow hitting your windshield. FUN!!!
I get home, go to the bathroom and was intrupted by Lydia eager to come in. So found her potty chair and I said "do you want to go potty?" "oo, oo, oo, oo" So I get her undressed put the chair on the potty, and take her diaper off. Then instead of being smart adn putting her directly on teh potty with a bare bum, I let her STAND there on my bathroom rug while I fold up the diaper, then I see her squat, thinking she needs to go poo I go to lift her up and notice that her feet are already wet. BAH!! She TOLD me she needed to go potty and I let her STAND there. Think Sarah Think. At first I was annoyed with her then I realized she did everything right, I was the one at fult.
So over all it was a pretty good day. Now if I had remembered I was suppose to babysit today adn was looking some what decent, and if I had only set teh VCR to recored when I had thought about it, and if I had remembered that girls name, and if I had put Lydia on the potty when she ASKED me too, today would have been an KILLER AWESOME DAY.

Some children...are annoying
So there are 2 little girls in my City of Joseph "stage family"...no 3. 2 are sisters 8 and 13 and one is the 13 year old friend. She has always been annoying, but that's another story. The 2 sisters LOVE Lydia, mainly the 13 year old. Which has been nice. I often need help keeping track of her when I need to do something else. She loves to play with Lydia. So at first I really really loved it. But now they are getting too comfortable.
Well the 8year old dosent really know the order of the show, nor does she listen to Bro Bench, our director. So since I listen and know the order of the show and since she is in my family, I have aquired a shadow. She is pretty quiet so it's usually ok, but like I go down to the basement (which is where the dressing room is) to change Lydias diaper and my shadow follows. GET A BRAIN.
So The 13 year old I do like that she is so willing to watch Lydia. But with a 1 year ol don stage you have to prepare for the unexpected, and for no cooperation. So I keep gold fish in my pocket to bribe her and keep her quiet on stage. We tried marshmallows but they were too sticky. So Gold Fish it is. On saturdays preformance after it was over little 13 asks me for soem gold fish, sure, you help out a lot, help your self. She grabs a hand full, so does her firend. I put them away and that was that. NOT. Today EVERY TIME i go down to the dressing room to do or get something, there is 13 with a freekin hand full of gold fish. Or when I walk out of the room she would sneak a grab. Never when I was looking, but she was ALWAYS eating LYDIAS gold fish. Yes I said you could have some on saturday, but that was not an open invitation. So I had to put them in the back pack adn zip it closed. I also had some chocolate and I pulled it out of my bag adn set it on the table to get a diaper underneath and 13 says "are thoes yours?" ..."yes, and I"m not sharing" GET YOUR FREAKING OWN!
I have a good friend in the show that was in teh music man with me and if she had gone and helped her self even with out ever asking, it would not have bugged me in the least. infact I'd have been glad I had something for her to eat if she was hungry. but when 13 does it...BAH!

30 Day's Notice
Well I just called my Land Lord and gave him our 30 days notice, we will be out of our apartment on May 6. Crazy crazy crazy. The time has just gone by so fast. We have a white board by our door that has a calander on it and a space for notes. We put everything on this board. But we put the new calendar dates on there and guess what, they day we move is now on our calendar, in just 4 more weeks.
And this picture is from this morning. Welcome to SPRING.

Potty on the Potty!
City of Joseph
this is the real statue

These pictures are from dress rehearsal. But Opening night went really well. We had a good turn out, I'm guessing 400-450. But I'm not sure. There are 525 seats and most were filled. Just the side seats that werent very good were empty on both sides. The Cast did a much better job last night than at any rehearsals. They were actually QUIET back stage. It was amazing, I heard all my cues when I play my banjo. I play back stage behind the curtin, and not everybody has a mic, so some lines are hard to hear if you arent in the room. And as with any live show we had soem adlibing. It was taking too long to get the benches on stage for a "church" scene and Joseph says "Brether, Sisters. Pleas come, and sit. Let us not make a habbit of being late for our future meetings." He got a pretty good laugh. And before the show the girls that are doing hair and makeup for the cast are good friends of mine in my ward and one of them came over before the show started to curl Lydia's hair. IT was so cute but didnt last long cause it's so fine and Lydia is so wiggley.
My Birthday
I had a fantominal Birthday. That's right, it was so good I had to make up a new word for it. First of all I got up and went to my tap class, always a good way to start my day. We finished the routiene we have been working on. Well at least we know what the end is suppose to look like, I dont have it down yet, maybe in another week or 2 I will. But it's really cool. We learned cramp rolls. Now I have learned these before, but what I learned my teacher calls them heel rolls, and sh etaught us what she calls cramp rolls, and I must say it couldnt have a more appropriate name. When you do them right your legs cramp up. Well the end of the song is ALL cramp rolls. We worked on them for a good portion of class and then we ran teh whole thing, and I almost could do it, my legs were SO tired, but MAN it was fun. The girls in my class and I are getting together this afternoon to practice again, cause holy cow we need it.
Then we came home for lunch...but we didnt really eat lunch, I think we had toast. :) Then We went bowling with my friend Manami and her husband Zac. Zac won with a...126, and I was aclose second with a 124. We wanted to play 2 games but I didnt have enought time cause I had to go to our final dress rehearsal.
I had a free sandwich coupon for Schlotzky's for my birthday so we went there for dinner. Mark had never been before...I love Schlotzky's. It was a yummy dinner. Then we came home for a few mins to gather up the stuff I needed for rehearsal. Mark came to watch the show cause he has to work for all the preformances. IT was kinda a bummer of a show. Still a lot of mistakes and no audience to play off of. Shows are always better with an audience, the bigger the better. There is a little more preasure not to mess up and to smile and actually preform. But he took pictures for me too. That was ncie. And Someone will be video tapeing the show, well I guess now it's called recordeing, almost everything is digital, not on tape. But whatever. Then after we ran teh show mark took Lydia home. She was so tired. Actually so was I

April Fools
So as most of you probably know, or did know at onne point but have forgotten, April Fools is one of my favorite days out of the year. And My birthday is the day after...Today, today is my birthday. I'm 24 if you are wondering. Anyway That is how most people remember my birthday cause it's teh day after April Fools.
This year I had 3 pranks for April Fools, All were sucessful. Do you know how great that is? That NEVER happens. If I do 3 then 2 will work, but not ALL of them. The first prank was aimed at My cousin Heather and her husband Parker, they live here in Pocatello, and soem friends from our ward, JC and Hailey Bates. No pictures of this one, it was too dark and I didnt want to flast to give me away. The prank was my idea but Mark helped me figure otu how to actually do it. (And that will remain with me) We booby trapped their doors late at night so when they opened it in the morning beans showered down. Both worked perfect, starteling JC at 6 in the morning, HORAY!
Then while Mark was at school (this was not my idea, My sister Rissy gave em this idea) I did the dishes, and cleaned my sink really REALLY well and made some koolaid that was a really nasty color. I filled the sink and when he walked in I was wearing my dish gloves rinsing the stove burners with the yucky water in the sink.
"Check out this nasty water" (dip cup in sink) "are you thirsty?"
"that's disgusting" (he leaves)
"Mark, I dare you to drink it"
(he comes back in) "Um, no."

"WHAT IN THE WORLD!!"
(busting up laughing )"It's just koolaid"
He forgot it was April Fools, O had him going. So funny.
Then for City of Joseph rehearsal I made cup cakes (dont worry, no tuna this year) they had cotton balls in them. But I had to frost all of them cause you could tell there were cotton balls.
Then I ran out of frosting, what to use what to use...MASHED POTATOES!
I didnt see anybody bit into one but I did see someone running for a napkin to spit it out. ha ha ha. And I saw several people pulling cotton balls out of their mouths in stings, several people bit right into them. What a GLORIOUS DAY !
