I made these shoes with nothing but a cartoon picture. :) I thought that was pretty cool. The funny thing about my costume was every kid knew I was a lawn or garden gnome, but almost every adult had to ask if i was a gnome or a dwarf or a christmas elf. Pshaw Adults have no imagination.
Lydia had so much fun Trick or Treating yesterday. We got dressed up a little early to take pictures then we went out with Kelli and her kids. we went to some of the surrounding streets. By the time we were done Lydia had it down, she'd say "Trick or treat" they would give her candy, then she would say "thank you" and get back in the stroller and on the way to the next house she would pick something out and stick it in her mouth...still wrapped. I started dumping her bucket in the bottom of the stroller after each house cause she a few pices of candy that were a little messy, she was eating a carmel along with teh plastic wrapper. We had a few other mutaliated candies in the bucket as well.
One house had a 6 foot tall light up mummy that would do the spooky moan. It turned on just as Lydia walked up to the door to say trick or treat. It scared her so she didn't say it and she turned around to come back to me just as the lady was trying to put candy in her bucket. I guided her backt o accept the candy (it was good chocolate) and it moaned again and scared her so I picked her up to comfort her...bad idea. That only brought her face to face with this scary monster. She shreeked in terror, and I laughed, and walked away quickly as to not scare her any more.

That has got to be the most perfect looking lawn gnome that I have ever seen!!! SERIOUSLY. The beard is rockin, the shoes are AWESOME, and the you is ROCKIN AWESOME.
Lydia the honey bear is so so cute. I'm glad you guys had fun!
You do such a good job with your costumes. Lydia is such a cute bear, even the Honey bucket has the "right" touch to it with it's yellow insides. Scary mummies should not be allowed when the little kids are still trick or treating.... :D
Caleb got pretty scared last night too. Poor kids. Why does halloween have to be so scary? Cute.
I could tell you were a lawn gnome. That was my first thought! However, I think it helped that you were outside in the lawn. Lydia's costume was so cute too! I am impressed with your talent for sewing with no pattern. That's awesome!
hehehe, that's hilarious! Way cute, and I loved the story about the scary mummy. Also, kudos on your costume.
haha I love your lawn gnome pictures! Nice poses
That costume is awesome! (both) I would like to say that I thought right away that you were a gnome...but it took me a bit. :( sorry.
